“We hope this news can be a bit of comfort for the fans who are worried about the team,” said DAMWON Gaming. BeryL will “take over” as the “new captain” of the League of Legends squad in 2021. “Once again, please give me your warmest encouragement and support. [BeryL] and our team. “
DAMWON Gaming, which won Worlds 2020 last month, allowed top laners Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon and BeryL to explore free agencies on November 16th.
BeryL has now re-signed with the organization and has extended his contract for a full year, according to Riot’s official global contracts database.
Nuguri is yet to follow suit, but the team will almost certainly continue to pursue a contract extension with the world’s best top laner today.
BeryL will join the Worlds 2020 MVP Jungler Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu, mid laner Heo “ShowMaker” Su, and bot lane Jang “Ghost” Yong-jun. Mekera co-dominate at Worlds 2020, beating Suning LPL 3-1 in the final in Shanghai.
If the DWG can secure Nuguri’s place on the list, the team will be a force to fear heading into next year’s competitive season in Korea.
