The Women Selfless Gaming’s have been acquired by Dignitas where they will play under the banner of Dignitas. This organization owned by the Philadelphia 76ers chose Selfless to be their CS: GO female team, following their roster: Captain and AWP Emmalee “emuhleet” Garrido, entry fragger Amanda “rain” Smith, entry fragger and support Mounira “Goosebreeder” Dobie, lurker Carolyn “artStar” Noquez, and Catherine “Cath” Leroux. The team will make their debut at IEM Katowice later.
Dignitas previously didn’t want to seek out a female CS: GO team, Dignitas CEO Jonathan Kemp said. This organization was previously just looking for top-tier talent. “Of course, we are eager to support the growth of female gamers in this industry, especially seeing premier talent this goes to Dignitas Family, “said Kemp.
Seeing the success of the Selfless team in the previous tournament, they managed to get 2nd place in the Esports Convention, they were defeated by the CS: GO female team from Team Secret in 2016.
“We are very pleased to have recruited a team that has the same passion as us to win a top level tournament,” said Dignitas President Michael O’Dell.“We hope to work well together to build them from all aspects to become professional gamers.”
In 13 years of operation, this is the first female roster ever recruited by Dignitas. “For more than a decade, the Dignitas team has become one of the most respected names in the Esports industry” said Dignitas CS: GO team manager Heather “sapphiRe” Garozzo. “To be able to join Dignitas is an absolute honor. Which is where Dignitas works in 2 fields, namely Esports and Professional Sports.
