ESL One Genting will give a local team the opportunity to earn a place in main event and play against pro teams like Wings Gaming, Fnatic, Digital Chaos, Virtus.Pro and NP.
Organizers have just revealed further details on the preparations for a third regional qualifier aimed at the Malaysian team.
Qualification will be carried out in two stages. The first stage will consist of a total of local qualifiers and a LAN consisting of 13 teams at that time. In total there are six regions (Central Region # 1, Central Region # 2, Northern Region, Southern Region, Sarawak and Sabah). Online qualifiers will be done separately and will leave between 1 and 3 teams for the last 16. Meanwhile, the other three teams will receive direct invite and will be added to the second stage for the total 16 teams. The teams will compete in GSL group format, followed by double elimination bracket.
This Malaysian qualification will provide Prizepool In each round, teams from each region that have made it into the top 32 will get around RM50 to RM500, while the top 16 teams in the second phase will get a Prize Pool of around RM200 – RM2,000.
