The ESL One Los Angeles Major qualification schedule and slot allocations have been announced with good news for the Southeast Asia region.
Although none of the representative teams from Southeast Asia managed to rank in the top 6 in the DreamLeague Season 13: Leipzig Major, Southeast Asia still got 3 slots.
Not only Southeast Asia, the Chinese region and also Europe still get 3 slots for the ESL One Los Angeles Major.
For the CIS region, North America and Latin America still get 2 slots and the last 1 slot is for StarLadder Minor winners.
The ESL One Los Angeles Major will mark the middle of the season, which is the third Major of the 2019-2020 season before TI10, and so far TNC Predator is in the top rankings with 5300 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) points.
Unfortunately, the upcoming Major has many question marks for the Chinese team. Qualification starts in just one week away, but the country is under a lot of stress with the Coronavirus outbreak.
Travel within the country is very limited, while travel outside China is getting more and more difficult every day. The Trump administration announced last Friday that it would temporarily prevent any foreign nationals who have been in China in the past 14 days from entering the United States.

Apart from the Corona virus problem, this is a great opportunity for new teams in Southeast Asia, especially Indonesian players such as BOOM Esports, Xepher at GeekFam, Jhocam and InYourdreaM at T1 and Drew at Reality Rift to compete to the major.
Jhocam and IYD will go through open qualifiers first starting on February, followed by closed regional qualifiers starting on February 9. Meanwhile GeekFam and BOOM Esports have received direct invite towards a closed qualification.
