On Sunday, 19 April 2020, one of the organizations from CIS, Virtus.pro, won the ESL One Los Angeles – Online regional CIS & Europe after defeating OG with a score of 3-2 and getting cash of 60 thousand USD. Don’t want to be left behind either, the second division team Dota 2 from Virtus.pro, VP.Prodigy, also showed off that week.
No half-hearted, VP Prodigy managed to win the 2 different tournaments they participated in that week. The 2 different tournaments are the Gaming World hosted by RedBull and the StayHome Challenge.
VP.Prodigy first won the Gaming World after defeating the team open qualifier namely Yolo Knight with a score of 2-0 and carrying cash amounting to 5,164 thousand USD. Even though this tournament is a tournament tier minor but inside there is the OG Seed team which was defeated by Yolo Knight and Vikin.gg who also when fighting Yolo Knight had to resign due to conflicting schedules.
After a few hours, VP Prodigy returned to compete in the StayHome Challenge, which included teams such as OG Seed, B8, Cyber Legacy, FlyToMoon and Vikin.gg.
Previously, VP Prodigy really appeared dominant in the group stage by becoming the top of Group B. VP. Prodigy also beat FlyToMoon and Vikin.gg in upper bracket and in the grand final of StarHome Challenge, VP. Prodigy again faced Vikin.gg and won 3-1 and received a cash prize of 9 thousand USD.
Not only that, in the StayHome Challege tournament, VP Prodigy only lost 2 games, which showed his dominance in the tournament.
