WG.Unity Representing SEA at Zotac Cup

WG.Unity managed to qualify for the Zotac Cup which will be held in Taipei through the 2nd SEA qualifying route. They beat Mineski in the final with a score of 2-1. Previously, WG.Unity managed to beat the Indonesian team, namely EVOS with a score of 2-0. This will be their second LAN tournament this year after ESL One Genting 2017.

WG.Unity’s journey to winning a slot in the Zotac Cup is indeed not easy, starting with the release of two of their players, Lai Jay ‘Ah Jit‘Son and Tue Soon’ah fu‘Chuan. They immediately replaced the two players, namely ChYuan and Wenn. Apart from this tournament they also participated in the Mars Dota 2 League. But unfortunately their trip was stopped by Clutch Gamers who finally represented SEA at this event.

Here’s their current roster:

Malaysia ChYuan (stand in)
Malaysia NaNa
Malaysia KaNG
Malaysia xNova
Malaysia Wenn (stand in)

Apart from WG Unity, there is also Fnatic who ensures that they qualify for Taipei through the SEA 1 qualifiers, then there is also Cloud9 who is now dissolving his roster and Team Singularity which represents European qualifications. Then there are Invictus Gaming from China qualifiers and isGG from European qualifiers. There are still two direct invites that haven’t been announced yet.

The Zotac Cup will be held at the Nangang Exhibition Center, Taipei, Taiwan with a total prize pool of $ 100,000 from 30 May to 3 June 2017. Good luck to NaNa et al and all the teams that will compete in this event. Stay tuned on Revivaltv.
